On "Veneno (Poison)" and the Story Behind the Music

Hello MightyBrawnies and 💪MightyPros,

It’s B. For this post, I want to take you deeper behind the curtain than usual. I want to talk about the creative process, the power of music, and the difficult, real-world questions that fuel the art of BrawnyAi.

As you know, many of my creations are "memory jars"—ways to capture a feeling, a beautiful connection, or a fleeting moment in my life. An image can capture a glance. A video can capture a mood. But sometimes, an experience is so complex, so full of contradiction and emotional weight, that it demands a song. The new album I’ve been creating, "Veneno (Poison)," was born from one of those moments.

The album's cover sets the scene: a jock sits in a recliner, his face a portrait of struggle. The image is bathed in a mix of transparent purple and a glowing, toxic green—the classic colors of poison. This is a story about a Faustian bargain.

This album is an attempt to grapple with one of the most powerful and unspoken truths in our community: the relentless pursuit of the muscular ideal, and the often-dangerous lengths we go to achieve it. It's a subject that hits incredibly close to home. Since BrawnyAi started, my work has been, in many ways, a celebration of this physique. But I've also read the comments from some of you, worried that my art might contribute to the very body dysmorphia and unrealistic standards that I, too, have struggled with. That seared my mind, because it's a conversation I've been having with myself for a very long time.

Why are we, as a community, so drawn to this specific vision of masculine beauty? I've been on my own long, complicated journey with this. I was influenced by the same magazines and porn that shaped many of us. I've felt the pressure to look a certain way to be accepted, to be desired. And I have to be honest with you about the "poison" the album speaks of: the use of anabolic steroids.

It's an epidemic in our community, yet it's something we rarely discuss openly. The album's title, Veneno, is Portuguese for poison. These substances are a trade-off. They can give you the body you've always dreamed of, the confidence you've always craved, and open doors that were previously closed. But they come with a price—the health risks, the emotional rollercoasters, the insomnia, and the constant, nagging question: "Am I doing this for myself, or am I doing this because I feel I have to?" I see the hypocrisy when we look at influencers who aren't honest about their use, and I struggle with my own role in this. My work celebrates an ideal, but I want to be truthful about the complex, and sometimes painful, reality of achieving it.

The songs on this album are my attempt to capture that entire, messy, beautiful, and dangerous paradox. They are about the addictive feeling of seeing your body transform in the mirror, and the moral conflict of participating in a system of beauty standards you know can be harmful.

I also discovered something amazing in this process. By creating the album in both English and Portuguese, and in different musical styles, I found a way to see this struggle from multiple perspectives. A song that starts as a sad, angry reflection can be transformed into a celebratory dance track. The lyrics are the same, but the emotional lens changes completely. It's a therapeutic and refreshing way to detach from the problem and see it in a new light, and that's a process I wanted to share with you.

This leads me to a quick, and important, business update. As some of you know, our Gumroad store was permanently suspended, and our funds there are still frozen. This is a frustrating reality for creators in our space. I'm still working to find a stable, long-term solution for direct digital downloads, but it's a long road. Without a reliable way to monetize these individual drops, BrawnyAi is still far from its break-even point, and I am still funding this project with my own savings, supplemented by your incredible support through memberships.

All this is to say, your support right now is more crucial than ever.

The album "Veneno (Poison)" is now available on all major streaming platforms. I invite you to listen, to feel the story, and to join the conversation.
